Positive: The whole hotel is beautiful, absolutely gorgeous setting with the ruin of the old abbey on site. Staff were super friendly and service was quick. Breakfast was delicious ( buffet) and hot.. carvery meal was a huge portion and also delicious.. A really nice smoking patio off the bar, ( nice for smokers not to be shoved into a dark horrible area for a change).There was a wedding and a separate christening on, when we stayed, but a huge amount of staff working meant little or no wait time for the Bar or food.. overall a perfect stay, and we will definitely be back. Thank you and a shout out to Duggie who works in the kitchens but went out of his way to chat to us .. Great staff.
Negative: The only thing I would change is there was a half glass bathroom door in our room, it did have a net curtain, but I like privacy and felt that wasn't enough.. a towel on the back of the door sorted it for me but if I could change anything it would be to get rid of the door for a solid one.. Not a complaint, just an observation. Thanks

Negative: Was woken really early in the morning by some delivery at 5am at the back of the hotel. Also there were a lot of construction and works going on during the day
